The man behind the MyFootballClub website concept, which took over Ebbsfleet, is ready to sell up.

Will Brooks came up with the idea of MyFootballClub and managed to attract around 30,000 members when they bought a majority share in Ebbsfleet in February 2008.

But Mr Brooks stated on the MyFootball Club website that he is now willing to let the Society buy the site in a deal which would cost them £15,000, and would include the members having full control of the full fee recevied from each members and any additional income that it generates from sponsorship and advertising.

As a result, the Society Board have told members that they need to decide by the start of December whether to buy the website and what the membership fee should be. Brooks will continue in his role as operator and continue to collect the operator fees.MrIf members do no wish to own the website,

When the Fleet were initally taken over, success followed as they won the FA Trophy at Wembley in May 2008 but there was a massive reduction in subscriptions in February 2009 when annual £35 membership fees were due to be renewed. MyFootballClub currently has 9,574 members.

With lower income, manager Liam Daish was handed a vastly-reduced budget this season and had to release the majority of last season's squad as well as selling striker Michael Gash to York.
