It’s the time to shine for Tamera Foster as the young singer takes one step closer towards her X Factor dream this weekend.
The teenager, from Gravesend, will perform for the first time in the live shows stage of the ITV talent show.
In front of a studio audience in London, the North West Kent College student will be hoping to impress the public to secure her passage to the next week of the singing contest.
The theme to this week’s show is songs from the 1980s and Tamera will be singing ‘Ain’t Nobody’ by Chaka Khan.
The 16-year-old is the bookmakers’ favourite to win the competition with William Hill and Sky Bet giving the youngster 9/4 odds to triumph.
To reach the live shows, Tamera sang Fallin’ by Alicia Keys at the last stage in Antigua, impressing judge Nicole Scherzinger and guest judge Mary J Blige with her performance.
There is a twist to this year’s live shows with the new Flash Vote feature.
Taking place at the end of each Saturday show, when all the acts have performed, the voting lines will open for a short amount of time. Once all the votes have been counted the act with the smallest number will be revealed and put into the sing-off on Sunday.
The lines will then reopen for the remaining acts, staying open until Sunday’s show when the next act with the lowest number of votes will be revealed.
Tune in to ITV on Saturday and Sunday to see how Tamera gets on.
