Overturned vehicle causes A2 tailbacks

A CRASH on the A2 this morning (Monday) left a vehicle on its roof.

An overturned white Ford Escort van and another passenger vehicle were left on the hard shoulder while two pumps from Thames-side fire station attended.

Police were also at the scene along with ambulance services.

The accident, on the coastbound carriageway of the A2, just before the Gravesend East junction, occured around 8.50am on Monday, March 24.

A police spokesman said there were only minor injuries and that all occupants were out of the vehicles.

It is unclear how many passengers were involved.
