AN OVERTURNED cherry picker is causing hours of delays to motorists.

The vehicle which has overturned on the coastbound carriageway of the A2, where it meets the M2, has forced the closure of all three lanes.

Shortly after 7pm Kent Police confirmed it was in the process of trying to move the vehicle but was awaiting equipment able to carry out the job.

The incident has left coastbound traffic queuing back past Gravesend to the M25 interchange at Darenth.
