A woman is in hospital after she was hit by a Land Rover.

The incident happened in Pelham Road, Gravesend, and police were called to the scene at 12.35pm today (Wednesday).

A police spokeswoman said: "The woman had non-serious injuries and the road was closed temporarily."

She was taken to Darent Valley Hospital by ambulance and the road has since reopened.
