An ex-police officer was left fuming after a milk thief stole the bottles from her doorstep.
CCTV shows a person stopping their car outside the property in Thong Lane, Gravesend, on Monday April 14 at around 4am, before running to the front door and stealing three pints of milk and one pint of orange juice.
The thirsty thief then scurried back to their car and makes off.
Home owner Kelly Lucas, whose milk was taken, was angered by the audacity of the person to take her things right from her doorstep.
"It’s just very sad that there are people out there that think it’s okay to steal from doorsteps rather than walk into the shop and buy a pint of milk.
"They can afford to drive a car so surely they can afford a pint of milk.
"I was annoyed mainly as we didn’t have any milk left over from the weekend so had to make a special trip to the shop so my two-year-old could have breakfast before nursery."
The ex-police officer revealed she was left angered rather than worried by the incident, adding: "I’m an ex copper so something like this just reminds me why I left.
"I'm shocked at the audacity of the individual."
Police spokes James Walker confirmed inquiries into the theft of the milk and orange juice are ongoing.
He said: "We received a report that milk and orange juice was stolen from a driveway in Thong Lane, Gravesend, Monday.
"At present no suspects have been identified and enquiries are ongoing."
