Plans have been submitted for a new three storey block of flats in Vale Road, Northfleet.
The new block would be built on commercial and industrial land at 'Top Yard, Hardy's Corner' and would contain 14 two-bedroom flats.
Gravesham council are due to consider the scheme - submitted by BRT Properties - which also outlines details of access, car parking, cycle parking, refuse stores and amenity space.
A planning statement says the proposals "maintain the aim of enhancing the quality and character of the site", adding: "This has been achieved by the strategic location of the development so that it does not have a detrimental impact on its context and the relationship with neighbouring properties.
"The building is well orientated to benefit from the available solar gains, and the layout of each flat has been designed to benefit from excellent levels of natural daylight infiltration.
"There is a large amount of shared amenity space which is largely south and south-westerly facing. To the northern boundary there is also a private, gated park which includes a children’s play area.
"The proposed development significantly enhances the local residential distinctiveness and improves the amenities of nearby dwellings with a sensitive form of development that responds to local residential character of the area."
