A woman has revealed she has resorted to creeping around her home amid fears she may disturb a venomous spider living in her bathroom.
Natalie Woods, 21, of Gravesend, says a wolf spider appeared beneath her shower.
Although non-aggressive, experts warn they are dangerous to humans if provoked - with first aid treatment required in case of a bite.
Miss Woods says she hopes someone will help her by removing the spider from her flat.
She said: "It's frightening the life out of me.
"Even getting up for the toilet in the night I'm creeping downstairs in case I accidentally stir it or step on it.
"I noticed it ages ago but now it has grown into a whopper."
The wolf spider is more than an inch long and carries a distinct Union Jack impression on its back.
