Police called after man punched in face in Gravesend

A man was taken to hospital after being punched in the face in Gravesend on Saturday.

Police were called to Queen Street, Gravesend, after a man was "found with a facial injury" at around 12.50pm.

Officers attended alongside crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service, who treated the man at the scene before taking him to a local hospital.

His injuries were not described as being serious.

Police say the man is believed to have been struck in the face by another man and attending officers set up a cordon to check for evidence and assist ambulance crews.

The scene was stood down by around 1.30pm.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
