Police are hunting a man after a woman was sexually assaulted and punched in the face.
The victim was walking in Norfolk Road, Gravesend, when a man grabbed her handbag at 7.20pm on Monday February 16.
She chased him into St John’s Road, where he handed back the bag before he sexually assaulted her and struck her in the face. He then fled from the scene.
The attacker is described as white, aged between 20 to 30 years old and slim. He was wearing a dark blue hooded jacket.
Officers have produced an e-fit of a man they believe could help with their inquiries, after scouring through hours of CCTV footage.
Detective constable Hollie Brown, said: “We are investigating a violent assault on a woman and I would ask anybody with information to come forward to us as soon as possible.
“If you recognise the man in the e-fit or remember seeing someone of his description on the night in question, I’d ask you to call me on 01634 792418.”
