Police are trying to trace a 14-year-old who has been missing since Friday morning.

Shayla-Mae Carter was last seen leaving her home in Gravesend at 8.30am and it is thought she may have travelled to London by train.

The missing teen is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall with long black hair.

It is not known what she was wearing when she left her home, but it is believed she had a black handbag with her.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact them by calling 101, quoting reference 08-0419.
