Police stumbled upon a drugs farm after being called to a burglary in Gravesend this morning.

Officers were initially called at 3.28am to a report of a burglary taking place at a house in Lennox Avenue.

A group of men are reported to have left the scene prior to the arrival of patrols, who went on to uncover a cannabis cultivation at the address.

A number of plants have been seized and enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
