The Princess Royal is getting a taste of police training today during a planned visit to Gravesend.

Princess Anne, the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, is due to attend the Metropolitan Police Specialist Training Centre in Mark Lane.

The visit was announced on the official website of The British Monarchy.

The MET police confirmed her attendance to the private visit, and no further information has been revealed.

Thousands of London officers go on courses at the centre every year, from handling weapons to public order procedures including riot training.
