A pub has been given a new lease of life after a two-week refurbishment.
The George in Singlewell, near Gravesend, reopened earlier this month with a brand-new look including a “doggy bar” offerin treats and waters for visitors’ four-legged friends.
General manager Jess Wood said: “We are thrilled to reveal the new look to our guests.
“Whether you are looking for a family meal out or somewhere to enjoy the sport with a pint, our pub is ready to welcome guests, both new and old, to enjoy our brand-new look — but with the same sizzle we have always had.”
The boozer, in Hever Court Road, near the A2, closed for two weeks to undergo an extensive refurbishment to make it more “relaxed and welcoming,” before opening on April 12.
Now it has a refreshed bar, soft furnishings, a conservatory for private functions and a new food menu.
It even has a “doggy bar” with food, treats and water for punters’ pets and a dedicated space in the bar, restaurant and garden for dogs and their owners.
The cost of the renovation has not been revealed.
The George is owned by Sizzling Pubs which has more than 200 bars and restaurants across the country.
