Six foot railings could be installed at the top of a Gravesend shopping centre car park after a man plunged to his death.
John Day, of Grange Road, Gravesend, fell from the six storey Thamesgate Centre at around 7pm last Tuesday in an apparent suicide.
The 20-year-old, known as Johnny to his friends and family, was taken to Darent Valley Hospital by ambulance where he later died.
Floral tributes and football shirts have since been laid for the avid Tottenham Hotspur fan outside the Clive Road shopping centre.
Mr Day’s long term girlfriend Amber laid a bouquet of flowers in Spurs’ colours of blue and white.
On the back of a Tottenham Hotspur pennant it read: “I hope that Tottenham are proud to have a fan as dedicated as my Johnny. Love your number one fan, Amber.”

Jack How, deputy headteacher at Mr Day’s former school, Northfleet School for Boys in Colyer Road, revealed staff were deeply shocked by the news of John’s death.
Mr How said: "John was always a very cheerful and happy go lucky lad. We are all very shocked to hear of his death. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time."
Mr Day is the second person to have fallen from the multi-storey building in the past three years.
In April 2005 a man in his 60s fell 54ft from the top floor, but walked away with cuts and bruises after a tree broke his fall.
Following Mr Day's death, the Thamesgate shopping centre has decided to install 6ft railings on the top of the building.
A spokesman for Thamesgate Centre said: “Once the proposal has gone through head office a 6ft railing fence will be installed. The railings will go inwards.”
A spokesman for Kent Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious.
An inquest was open and adjourned on Friday, May 9.
