Relatives of a pensioner who went missing nearly five days ago are "desperate" for information on his whereabouts.
Brian Smart, 85, often frequents Dartford and Bluewater but he was last seen at his home address in Abbey Wood, London, at 7.30pm on Tuesday September 22.
He is white, 5ft 7in and of medium build. He usually wears a dark waist length jacket, blue jeans and dark shoes.
He walks with a stick and has no money or Oyster Card.
An unconfirmed sighting of Mr Smart was at 3.30pm on Wednesday September 23, in Longleigh Lane, off Bostall Hill, Abbey Wood.
Det Ch Supt Helen Millichap from the Metropolitan Police said: “I would appeal to anyone who has any information on Brian’s whereabouts to contact police immediately.
“His family are extremely concerned and worried for his welfare. This is totally out of character for him and we would appeal to anyone who thinks they may have seen him in the area to call police.
“It is now five days since his family have had spoken to him and they are desperate for information on where he is.
“Officers are searching the surrounding area for Brian and are making enquiries door to door.
“If anyone in the community can help locate Brian please do get in touch as his welfare is paramount.”
