Part of a major road in Gravesham has been re-opened three weeks after it collapsed.
A 15-metre-wide section of the A227 in Meopham was cordoned off after the road caved in on New Year's Day. The cause of the disaster remains under investigation.
The road re-opened on Friday but installation of new kerbs and final surfacing of pavements near its junction with Cricketers Drive will begin on January 31.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place while the week-long work is carried out.
A spokesman for Southern Water said: "We thank the villagers of Meopham and motorists who use the road for their patience while this repair was made."
