One car has lost a wheel and another has come to a stop next to a war memorial following a crash on a main village route.

Wrotham Road in Meopham Green, near Gravesend, is shut in both directions due to the incident.

Police officers were called at around 4pm following the collision and are still at the scene alongside paramedics.

Pictures show a black car stuck in the bushes in front of the war memorial and a Mini with damage to its front and has a wheel missing.

The ambulance service has been contacted for further information.
