An exciting paid vacancy in the town market has become available for someone with a love of mince pies and an expanding waistline.
Gravesham council is on the look out for a Santa Claus to meet and greet children in his grotto based in Gravesend Borough Market.
Father Christmas posted a video appeal on the council's social media channels in which he took a break from the summer sunshine to request some help over the holidays.
Appearing outside the council offices with a bucket and spade he cheered: "If you like your mince pies like me and you've got plenty of Ho Ho Ho then this is the job for you."
The role will involve handing presents to children and will be from 10- 2pm every weekend from Saturday 23 November to 22 December.
In return santas will received an hourly wage and generous holiday entitlement.
Santa is also on the look out for two elves to assist him.
Respondents must be able to sing along to Christmas Carols and like striped tights.
Pointy earied pixies are welcome to apply but sadly no goblins allowed.
The closing date for applications is next Wednesday 25 September.
