There was no trouble at a village store's reopening as bodyguard to the stars Mark 'Billy' Billingham officially cut the ribbon.
The SAS: Who Dares Wins star attended the opening of the new Costcutter at Culverstone Stores in Culverstone.
The shop in Wrotham Road – which has been run by husband and wife duo Peter and Kully Juty for more than 15 years – has undergone a major refit.
As part of the celebrations, the first 100 customers had the chance to win vouchers and prizes and received a free goodie bag.
There was also taste testing of Indian food, locally sourced Meopham wines, and fresh juices.
Billy is TV’s most experienced, highest ranking and most decorated SAS leader and instructor who served for more than 20 years with the unit.
Following his distinguished military career, he became a bodyguard and protected celebrities including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Sir Michael Caine, Russell Crowe and Tom Cruise.
But the Channel 4 star was just as happy chatting to customers and staff at the Costcutter.
