A body has been found in the search for a missing woman.
Julie Boddington, 53, was last seen at her home in Horton Kirby, near Dartford, at about 10am yesterday.
More than 50 police officers and Kent Search and Rescue volunteers were deployed in a large-scale search for Julie.
Meanwhile, police launched an appeal for information as they grew increasingly concerned for her welfare.
But a body was tragically discovered in the Calfstock Lane area of Farningham, shortly after 7pm yesterday.
Police said: "Formal identification has not yet taken place, however, the family of a 53-year-old woman who was reported missing earlier in the day have been informed.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner."
A Kent Search and Rescue spokesperson added: "Approximately 50 officers from Kent Police and Kent Search & Rescue were deployed yesterday in the search for Julie Boddington.
"The search also involved specialist Search Dogs and Water Rescue Teams and covered a large area including South Darenth, Horton Kirby and Farningham.
"Tragically a body was located in the early evening.
"The thoughts and prayers of all involved are with Julie’s family at this sad time."
