It wasn't just claps which could be heard for our hospital heroes and carers as ships too joined in on the act.
A fleet of vessels sounded their horns from the riverside of Gravesend in a show of mass appreciation for NHS workers last night.

The sound could be heard for miles around as tall ships and cruiseliners paid tribute.
It was joined by choruses of claps from those watching on in the harbour.
Across the river the Port of Tilbury shuffled around 137 of its containers to create a tribute to NHS staff and key workers.
In total, drivers undertook around 400 moves to create the message which now greets all lorries entering the container terminal.
It was unveiled at 8pm last night as locked down communities joined forces for a second week in a row to show their appreciation for medics braving the battle against the virus.
Paul Dale, Asset & Site Director at the Port of Tilbury said: “We wanted to recognise the important role that the NHS and all the other key workers, including our own port teams here in Tilbury and across the UK, are delivering in these challenging times.
"The team at the container terminal did a brilliant job shuffling the containers and it is a fitting tribute to everyone working at the frontline.”
Landmarks have also been turning blue as a sign of solidarity with the NHS.
Last week, there was a huge response to the first Clap For Our Carers event with clips shared online showing hoards of people cheering and even bashing pots and pans.
It proved just as popular this week with clapping sounding out across the county.
