A man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting offences after police raided a residential street this morning.
Officers were sent to Craylands Square in Swanscombe as part of a planned raid at 8.35am and arrested a 27-year-old man.
He was arrested on suspicion of three shoplifting offences committed in South Darenth and New Ash Green in late May and early June.
He has been bailed, pending further enquiries, until Monday June 17 2019.
Police also said rumours that armed police were involved were not true.
