SHOPPERS at Bluewater are in one of the safest places when hunting for bargains.

The shopping centre has been awarded a Safer Business Award, recognising measures put in place to reduce crime and fear of crime and ensure customer safety.

Bluewater managers joined senior Kent Police officers and the mayors of Dartford and Gravesham, Cllr Ian Armitt and Cllr Ken Jones, for the award presentation on Tuesday.
