Kent Police investigate reported robbery at Sainsbury's Pepper Hill store in Northfleet

A man threatened a supermarket employee with a knife while he was with two little girls carrying their dolls.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the reported robbery at Sainsbury's in Pepper Hill, Northfleet.

The employee tried to stop the man leaving the store with two video games that he did not appear to have paid for on Saturday between 1.10pm and 1.25pm.

At the time, he was with two little girls both holding dolls.

When the employee tried to intervene, he was threatened with what appeared to be a knife, before the man left.

Detective Sergeant Dan Barker, said: "I imagine the shop would have been quite crowded and someone may have noticed this man or may recognise him."
