Ebbsfleet's unbeaten run continued in Blue Square South with a 2-1 win at St Albans.
First half goals from Callum Willock and Tom Phipps helped Liam Daish's side stretch their impressive form to 12 games without defeat and kept them sixth in the table.
Despite not recording a win in front of their own supporters this season, St Albans started promisingly and almost took the lead in the opening five minutes. Harry Beautyman shot wide after a free kick caused confusion in the Fleet six-yard box.
But, Willock opened the scoring on 17 minutes when he volleyed home from the edge of the area with the aid of a slight deflection. Sean Shields hit the post for St Albans shortly after, but Ricky Shakes was twice denied chances to extend Fleet's lead.
Inih Effiong equalised on 34 minutes when he latched on to a long clearence. His shot crept over the line after Preston Edwards failed to keep hold of the ball.
Two minutes before the break Michael West's free kick was headed in by Phipps to restore the visitors' advantage.
In a quiet second half, former Ebbsfleet striker Jean-Michel Sigere came closest to levelling the scores. His shot skidded low past Edwards' post and Fleet were able to see out the remaining minutes without any further alarms.
Ebbsfleet take their form into the FA Cup first round next weekend when they travel to Blue Square Premier side AFC Wimbledon.
