Starbucks has opened its doors at a new High Street branch.
The American coffee chain began serving customers this morning, directly opposite rivals Costa on the corner of New Road and the High Street in Gravesend.
It was first advertised as “coming soon” in September and the iconic green logos were placed around the building last week.
Today, the store was opened by the Mayor of Gravesham Cllr Gurdip Bungar and a large red ribbon was hung over the entrance to signify the day.
The next closest Starbucks is at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Greenhithe, near Dartford.
Customers will now receive their selected drinks in the chain’s signature red cups over the Christmas period.
Starbucks has been asked for a comment.
