Starbucks has teased it will be opening a new store in a town centre – opposite Costa.
The global coffee chain has advertised it is taking over an empty unit on the corner of New Road and the High Street, in Gravesend.
A sign in the brand's signature green colours with a picture of a hot drink and logo has been displayed in the window of the former Woolworths building.
It reads: “We're opening soon.”
The building has just undergone a major refurbishment and rumours have been rife about what was to fill it as work started inside.
The unit is directly opposite rival shop Costa and only a short walk away from the independent cafe Northman Coffee.
The closest Starbucks for Gravesend visitors is currently at Bluewater Shopping Centre, in Greenhithe, near Dartford.
No other details have yet been revealed about the opening of the store and it has not yet been advertised on the chain's website.
A spokesman for Starbucks said: “We are always looking for new locations and opportunities to bring the Starbucks Experience to customers in the UK, but at this time we have no updates to share about plans in Gravesend.”
