You've still got time to take part in our search for the cutest child in Gravesend. But you'll need to hurry.

Mums and dads have been bringing their children to the St George's Shopping Centre for a professional photo shoot.

The Gravesend Messenger has teamed up with Starlight Studios for our Cute Kids competition, and the photo sessions continue until 4.30pm Saturday. The prize fund is £1,000.

The competition is completely free to enter although you will be able to purchase some of the pictures taken during the session.

Starlight Studio have been in the shopping centre (near the play area), Gravesend, from 9.30am-4.30pm.

Among the parents who took their children to have their photos taken were Ame Katherine, 21, of Raphael Road, Gravesend, who said: "The papers are dated so it’s something I wanted to do this year and keep and show them when they’re older."

Lucy Brett, 21, of Burton Road, Gravesend. "A friend told me about it and it’s something to show the children when they’re older. I love photos of her."

Pictures will go in the Messenger for a readers’ vote.
