Police have taped off a residential street after a man suffered serious injuries.
Officers were called to Hamerton Road, Northfleet, by an ambulance crew at 2.46am.
A cordon is in placed after a man was found seriously injured
It is not known at this stage what injuries the man has or whether he is a resident.
A 100-yard stretch of the road is cordoned off, with police cars parked at either end.
Forensics officers have been seen going into a property in the street, which is close to the town's railway station.
Sniffer dogs are also on the scene.
A resident, who lives just inside the cordon, said: “We don’t know what happened.
"They’ve closed the road and they’re not letting anyone through.
"They’re not letting anyone move their cars. I think they’ve been through the bins as well.”
Another resident said police had knocked on their door but they didn’t know anything.
“I don’t know who lives there. The trouble is it’s always changing hands.
“A couple of weeks ago we had all the tyres slashed around here, so the police put CCTV up, but someone climbed up and took it down.”
Two ambulances were earlier spotted parked up.
South East Coast Ambulance Service said it received an emergency call at 2.35am.
Another resident said: "A police car flew up the road at about 8pm last night but I didn't think anything of it.
"The road is taped off and the police are everywhere."
