A Gravesend student has been found dead on the floor below his hotel room in Germany.

Ryan Sandhu, 22, was reported missing by his family after he travelled to Munich, the capital of the state of Bavaria, earlier in the summer.

His body was found by hotel staff at about 5.20am on Sunday, June 25 after a noise was heard.

A postmortem examination gave the cause of death as multiple severe injuries.

An inquest into Mr Sandhu’s death was opened and adjourned at Maidstone’s Archbishop’s Palace yesterday.

It is expected to be resumed on Wednesday, November 29.
