A man has been charged after another was taken to hospital following an alleged attack.

Police and paramedics were called to Taunton Vale, in Gravesend, on Wednesday (September 13) just after 8pm to reports of an assault.

The victim was taken to hospital.

An 18-year-old was arrested shortly after and has since been charged with assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

De-voniaye Phillips, from Lindley Estate, Peckham, south-east London, will appear at Woolwich Crown Count on October 9.

At the time, nearby residents said they saw multiple police cars in the area and officers were appealing for doorbell footage and private CCTV.
