A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after an early morning raid on a property.
Neighbours reported seeing police lining up outside as house on Old Road East in Gravesend, opposite the Prince of Orange pub, with a battering ram.
The raid is thought to have been carried out on a hostel for young adults that have left care.
Officers arrived in three police cars, a police van and a specialised dog unit at around 7am along Singlewell Road.
Police spokesman James Walker confirmed a 17-year-old from Gravesend had been arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug.
He has since been released pending further enquiries.
Toulochan Singh Bansit, 68, of Singlewell Road said: "I didn't hear anything but there were three police cars and a big police van parked outside.
"I heard dogs barking, but that was all.
"It was the first time I have seen any police cars along this road."
Lynne Jump, 63, who lives right next door to the property police entered, added: "I was taking my dogs out for a walk when I realised there were lots of police outside.
"They were lined up against the wall of the house with a red ram.
"It was like something from a film, they were a lot of them waiting to get in.
"Lots of them were in uniform but there quite a number of people not in uniform as well.
"The last few weeks police have been coming quite regularly, there have been some really difficult times.
"I was just thinking oh my I am right next door to this, it can be frightening.
"I appreciate these things have to happen, but they need to be better managed.
"The house does good things but we only see this side because there just isn't much communication."
There was still a police car and van along the road at around 9.30am.
