A suspect has been charged after a man was assaulted while on his motorbike and crashed into metal railings.
The assault took place in Rochester Road in Gravesend at around 4.20pm on Sunday, March 16.
It is reported the motorcyclist was assaulted by two men on an e-bike.
He then collided with a metal railing in Parrock Road and it is alleged the suspects assaulted him again, as they tried unsuccessfully to take his motorbike.
The two men fled on the e-bike while the victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital, where he remains.
A 16-year-old boy from the area was arrested on April 9. He was charged with assault and attempted robbery.
In addition, he was also charged with attempted burglary in relation to an incident in Hawkins Avenue, Gravesend on March 16.
The boy was remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday (April 10) when the case was adjourned.
He was released on bail but must return to the same court on April 24.
