A teenager has been taken to hospital following a crash.

The emergency services were called to Pelham Road, Gravesend, this afternoon to reports of an incident involving a car and a pedestrian.

Police officers and paramedics attended at around 2.10pm.

The teenager reported minor injuries and was assessed and treated by ambulance crews before being taken to a local hospital for further checks.

A staff member from a nearby business said: "There were a couple of police cars and an ambulance."

He believed the crash happened near Mayfield Grammar School.

The road was closed but by 3.30pm had been reopened as the emergency services had left.
