Lee Edwards and Shane Thomas were the heroes as The Works won the John Robinson League Cup B with a 1-0 success over Rising Sun.

Edwards made the breakthrough with 10 minutes left. Thomas preserved the lead with a crucial save.

Sun, crowned Senior Division champions with a 2-1 win at Rose & Crown the previous week, reached the Reporter Cup final after their
4-2 win over Shorne thanks to Frank Whitehead (2), Dave Briant and an own goal.

Real Gima are on course for the final after Graham Norris’ strike in a 1-0 fifth round win over New Ash Green.
