More than 20 years’ experience in the music, media and management sectors persuaded law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore to hire Peter Jones to their employment team.
The senior associate has worked in employment law at Rawlison Butler LLP and has held in-house roles with the British Medical Association and a major health insurance provider.
Having begun his career as a sound engineer, Mr Jones transferred to the legal profession more than two decades ago.
He applied his skills mediating between musicians and production desks to mediating in urgent injunctions, discrimination and whistleblowing cases as well as restructuring and corporate transactions.
He takes up his post at the Tunbridge Wells-based firm’s Thames Gateway office in Greenhithe and joins more than 200 staff employed by the company, including over 90 lawyers.
He said: “Thomson Snell & Passmore has an unrivalled reputation in the South East, and I am thrilled to be joining the growing employment team at an exciting time for the firm.
“The new Thames Gateway office and strong employment, corporate and commercial teams were powerful reasons to come aboard.”
Head of the Employment team Nick Hobden added: “Peter brings with him a breadth of experience from his many years working across a broad range of organisations in the commercial and not for profit sectors.”
