A GRAVESEND man has been jailed for three years for stealing metal cable.
John Levi Dunn, 25, of Shamrock Road, was given the sentence at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday.
Two other men, Tom Dunn, 22, and Matthew Dunn, 19, both of South Ash Road, Sevenoaks, were also found guilty of taking part in the theft of £30,000 of cable from a site in Maidstone and received custodial sentences.
All three men were also charged with aggravated vehicle taking after taking a HGV from the same site.The Judge said it was ‘a planned and targeted offence executed in a brazen fashion with only profit and substantial value in mind’.John Dunn was given three years imprisonment for the theft of the cable, 12 months for aggravated vehicle taking (to run concurrently) and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.Tom Dunn was sentenced to two and half years jail for the theft of the cable, 12 months (to run concurrently) for aggravated vehicle taking and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
Matthew Dunn got two years at a young offenders institute for the theft of cable, six months (to run concurrently) for aggravated vehicle taking and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
