A man who repeatedly punched a friend in the face, breaking both his cheekbones, has been locked up.
Dee Webb, 45, launched the vicious attack after drinking with the victim and his friend at a house in Gravesend.
Webb was asked to leave after getting into a fight with the other guest, but knocked his victim to the ground as he tried to shut a garden gate on him.
He then punched him in the face several times, fracturing both cheekbones.
Webb then left but returned shortly after to collect his car keys from the other friend. He then smashed ceramic pots before leaving once more.
Webb, of White Post Lane, Meopham, was later arrested and pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm.
He was sentenced to 15 months in jail at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Paul Oliver said: "This was a particularly nasty attack on a man who previously counted Dee Webb as a friend.
"While he was of previous good character, his actions on this occasion suggest he is a danger to other members of the public and that he belongs behind bars."
