Different generations joined together to take part in this year’s Tickled Pink charity walk along Gravesend’s promenade.

In total, 21 people joined the 5k walk that was organised by Asda Gravesend’s Community Life Champion, Jacquii Alexander-Smith.

The oldest entrant was 94-year-old Harold Grimwade, who although was unable to physically walk himself, convinced his daughter-in-law Linda Grimwade to push him round in his wheelchair.

Mr Grimwade said: “Where there’s a wheel there’s a way. You’re never too old to take part in a Tickled Pink walk.”

The walk started with a Zumba warm-up led by fitness instructor Natasha McDiarmid.

First to finish the walk was Katy Lavender who got into the spirit of things by wearing pink clothing from head to toe.

The youngest walker was three-year-old Brady Godfrey who was so excited at the prospect of winning a lolly, that he made his mum, Dominique, run some of the circuit so that he could be one of the first to finish.
