British diver Tom Daley – who won a bronze medal in the Olympics – is coming to Bluewater.
The teenager will be at Waterstone’s to sign his new book, My Story, this Thursday, August 16, at 12.30pm.
Tom won two gold medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and just days ago enjoyed more success at London 2012.
But behind the joy, there is also a heartbreaking and inspiring story of a young athlete coping with the death of his father whilst under the glare of the world’s media spotlight.
In Tom’s first official memoir, he offers unprecedented access to the pressures, challenges and fascinating experiences of a world-class Olympian. From his day-to-day schedule, to his hobbies and family life, to sharing his hopes and dreams in the build up to the London Olympics, this book offers a unique chance to get close to Tom.
Waterstone’s assistant manager Andrea Arnold said: "We’re really thrilled to be welcoming Tom Daley to the store, fresh from his fantastic bronze medal for Team GB.
"He’s a household name with a fascinating story of dedication and triumph...a true sporting hero.
"We expect this book signing to be very busy and would urge customers to get here as early as possible on the day as access to the queue will be first come, first served."
