A witness said the Hamburg Sud lorry had gone up on the kerb to avoiding hitting a car which had not left enough room for it to pass around the bend.

The vehicle seemingly was stuck between a bollard on the road and had to be lifted up onto wooden blocks to be able to reverse out.

Mechanics used three blocks to prop the wheel up so the driver was able to manoeuvre off the kerb.
