A town centre bus route will be closed for up to 21 days to enable road improvements to be completed.
Barrack Row at the Clive Road bus gate in Gravesend will be shut from Garrick Street to Stone Street to allow the construction of a new pedestrian crossing and relocating bus stops.
Drivers will be able to use an alternative route via Stone Street, Rathmore Road and Darnley Road with works expected to finish by December 19.
Clive Road remains open but only to serve Station Car Park, Thamesgate Shopping Centre and Tesco deliveries.
In addition to road closures, the bus stops in Garrick Street will be temporarily relocated from November 29 to Barrack Row just a short walk away.
Buses will also be stopping at new stops in Rathmore Road. Access from the railway station to Clive Road will be closed while the works take place for new and improved areas for pedestrians and bus passengers.
Signage and maps are in place to aid passengers to the temporary stop locations and all buses are running to their usual timetables.
The work is part of the second phase of Kent County Council's £2.5 million project to improve the transport connections between rail, bus and bike and link in with the Rathmore Road scheme.
The improvements in Barrack Row and Garrick Street include:
The work on the new bus hub begun on June 14 and is expected to be completed by March 2022.
It is the final phase of the Gravesend Transport Quarter master plan which has seen Community Square developed and the re-routing of the one-way system around Woodville Place and the re-routing of the one-way traffic system along a new Rathmore Road.
