Plans are under way to hold the first physical Pride event in Gravesend.
It is set to take place outdoors on Saturday, August 14 at Fort Gardens in the town's Riverside Leisure Area.
It will feature a mixture of entertainment including musicians, dancers, DJs and singers drawn largely from the local area.
There will also be stalls run by volunteers selling merchandise and stands allocated to local charities and organisations, as well as two food concessions and an on-site bar.
Organisers Gravesham Pride CIC have funded the celebration through various grants and donor support from local businesses.
It is working in partnership with Cohesion Plus who will help produce it.
The flagship event, celebrating the large LGBTQIA+ population in Gravesham, was scheduled to take place last year.
Set to be held on Community Square, it was cancelled owing to the pandemic and held online.
This took place in conjunction with neighbours at Medway Pride who helped put on the online spectacle viewed by 10,000 people locally and in 32 different countries.
It comes after 2019 saw the largest number of Pride events held globally.
As a result, several of the LGBTQIA+ residents requested a similar one be held in Gravesend.
A public meeting was then held the same year to elect a committee to progress the project.
Community Square was initially reserved for this year's celebration but due to the Woodville being used for the vaccine programme, organisers instead opted for Fort Gardens.
It will be free to enter, however attendees are asked to register beforehand for Covid safety.
