A group of travellers have set up home on land in between a family restaurant and a supermarket in Gravesend.
Caravans and other vehicles pitched up at on land near the Toby Carvery in Coldharbour Road, at about lunchtime on yesterday.
The large group set up home in a field next to the carvery and the Morrison’s store nearby.
It is understood some young members of the group had gone into the carvery on Saturday and asked for water but when they started filling up drinks themselves, staff asked them to leave and banned them from the venue.
It is not the first time travellers have set up home on the site.
Just last month, about 20 caravans, horses and numerous dogs set up a temporary home in the field.
About 20 shiny white caravans were parked on the grass as well as a number of other vehicles.
It is understood the land is privately owned.
A spokesman for police said: "There have been several calls to the control room reporting that a number of caravans have turned up.
"There are currently no reports of anti-social behaviour or other problems."
