A 28-year-old man has appeared in court this morning and pleaded not guilty to murder.
Harry Harris was expected to go on trial at Maidstone Crown Court in August.
But Judge Adele Williams has heard the four-week trial will have to be postponed until later in the year.
Harris appeared in the dock and denied murdering James Webb, 44, and possessing a knife in Hamerton Road, Northfleet, on February 4.
Alison Morgan QC explained the Crown needed more time to collate the complex forensic evidence.
Judge Williams ordered another hearing in July when a definite date for the trial is expected to be made.
