Two cars collide near Gravesend as motorists suffer more A2 delays

There were delays on the A2 this morning after two vehicles collided near Gravesend.

The accident happened on the coastbound carriageway in Watling Street at just before 6.20am.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 6.19am to a report of an RTC in Watling Street.

"Two vehicles were involved but no injuries were reported.

"One of the vehicles involved is also reported to have been involved in a collision with the central reservation."

A spokesman for KCC Highways said the vehicles were cleared at 8.28am and that traffic should now have returned to normal.
