A MAN and a woman were arrested on suspicion of supplying cocaine when Kent Police officers raided a suspected "crack house".

A haul of high quality cocaine with a street value of around £12,000 was seized in the swoop on a property in St Hilda's Way, Gravesend.

Thousands of pounds of cash and five vehicles were also seized. A dozen officers were involved in the operation. The two people arrested were being questioned by police.

The raid formed part of the ongoing work by North Kent's new drugs intervention team to disrupt and prosecute those who supply, deal and use drugs in the Gravesend and Dartford area.

Sgt Ivan Beasley, who co-ordinated the operation, said: "We seized more than 130g of what we believe to be high quality cocaine as well as £30,000 cash.

"We have also seized a total of five vehicles - one truck, two cars and two motorbikes - under the proceeds of crime legislation.

"We will continue to actively seek out premises we believe are being used in the supply of drugs and close them down.

"We would also ask members of the public to keep their eyes and ears open and inform us of any suspicions they may have that drugs are being dealt in their neighbourhoods."
