A four-car crash closed the A2 and left two people injured.

Police shut the eastbound carriageway near Gravesend between A2260 Southfleet Road and A227 Wrotham Road.

The incident happened just after midday.

A police spokesman said: “Officers, paramedics and fire crews attended the scene where two people were treated for injuries.

“They have been taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.”

The injuries are not described as life-threatening.
