Two men arrested over bus driver attack

TWO men have been arrested in connection with an assault on an off-duty bus driver in Gravesend.

The 50-year-old victim was attacked after going to the aid of a colleague who was being harassed outside the Railway Bell pub in Garrick Street, Gravesend on Saturday, September 27.

He suffered a badly broken leg in the assault.

The first arrest, of an 18-year-old from the Gravesend area was made on Tuesday, October 21.

A second arrest, of an 18-year-old from the Tonbridge area, was made a week later on Tuesday, October 28.

Both men have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Police in North Kent continue to appeal for information about the incident, which happened at around 5pm.
